My own journey mirrors many of the founders and leaders I serve.
I began working full-time just before turning 17, and over the last 30+ years I’ve built a career grounded in grit, accountability, and transformation. I started in banking, became a CPA, and for the past 18 years have practiced as a business attorney representing mission-driven organizations with revenues between $20 - $50 million.
What I’ve learned is this: many business owners are so focused on building and surviving, they rarely have time to innovate from within — or prepare for what comes next. Most don’t have a clear succession plan, exit strategy, or innovation roadmap. They’ve spent decades building an asset, but not enough time designing how to protect, grow, or transfer it.
